Professor Dunger and his team have a new study looking into the vascular complications of Type 1 diabetes (T1D).  The overall aim of this project is to obtain data through NHS data systems, and in particular the National Diabetes Audit, concerning complications outcomes in young adults with T1D (20-40 years), who were previously recruited to cohort studies (ORPS/NFS and GRID) and extensively studied during childhood and adolescence.  This will help in gaining information on prevalence of diabetes vascular complications during early adulthood, and which are the main risk factors during childhood and adolescence predisposing to their development.
